WDCS and Partners Power NFC-enabled Lucozade bottles for Free TFL journey
WDCS recently collaborated with MuchBetter.com and partners to promote Lucozade on Transport For London.
Thousands of free NFC-enabled bottles were distributed to lucky commuters at Oxford Circus Tube station to use for a one time free journey across London. Team GB gymnast Nile Wilson, Britain’s Got Talent finalists Twist and Pulse and ballet star Alessia Lugoboni all feature in the ad campaign which urged London commuters to ‘Find your flow’ with a free journey using the Lucozade bottles for contactless payment. The underlying technology on the bottles used by the MuchBetter wallet were powered by issuing from Wirecard Card Solutions and provisioning by DigSEq.
Global Processing Services (GPS) delivered the processing payment technology behind the programme. The special bottles dubbed “drinkables” show how market-leading collaborations not only extend Wirecard’s product portfolio but leads to significant innovations in payment technology with multiple uses across various sectors, in this instance, the first contactless, travel enabled FMCG product. The issuing solutions provided by Wirecard are all fully combinable with mobile and PayTech innovations.
